Ministry of Labour Inspection Blitzes

During a blitz inspection, inspectors focus on specific sectors, workplace areas or activities in which the targeted hazards may be present. “Inspectors have been instructed to take a zero-tolerance approach,” advised Wayne De L’Orme, provincial coordinator of the MOL’s Industrial Health and Safety Program. “If we find non-compliance, we will prosecute in some way.” Recent hazards that have been targeted include:
