Superheat FGH Technologies Inc. Receives IAPA Health and Safety Award
IAPA’s Awards Program Helps Ensure Workplace Health and Safety

Mississauga, Ontario – December 4, 2007 – IAPA (Industrial Accident Prevention Association) presented Superheat FGH Technologies Inc. of Kincardine, Ontario with a Level I Health & Safety Achievement Award today. This is the first IAPA achievement award for the facility, a heat treatment service provider.

In its journey towards health and safety excellence, Superheat FGH Technologies Inc. has created a work environment that puts the well-being of its employees first. For example, the company created a Joint Health and Safety Committee to develop and oversee its health and safety initiatives. Examples of these initiatives include the implementation of a corporate safety program, safety training manuals for workers and supervisors, and a database to monitor employee training.

Superheat FGH Technologies Inc. received the Level I Achievement Award after IAPA conducted an on-site verification on November 8, 2007. The company’s health and safety management program met the criteria needed to be recognized for this award. In addition, Superheat FGH Technologies Inc. completed the self-assessment report and met IAPA award requirements, such as prevention methods, legislative compliance, management practices, and lost-time injury frequencies.

IAPA’s three-level health and safety awards program was launched in 2002. The program is designed to celebrate an organization’s journey towards achieving workplace health and safety excellence. Since the inception of the program, 39 companies have received the Level I Health and Safety Achievement Award.
