General Description
Bill 168, An Act to amend the Occupational Health and Safety Act with respect to violence and harassment in the workplace and other matters, will significantly impact workplaces in the province of Ontario. Under this new legislation, there are specific requirements around developing workplace violence and harassment policies and programs. What many employers may not know is that these requirements can be largely satisfied by addressing them within their existing workplace health and safety policies and programs. In other words, you don’t need to start from scratch!
Upon completion, the participant will be able to:
• Increase awareness of workplace violence and harassment and the harmful impacts on organizations and their employees
• Help save time and money by integrating Bill 168 requirements into existing OHS policies, procedures and programs
• Provide practical, hands-on solutions and tools
