Successful completion of this course fulfills requirements for both part one and part two certification training.

Learn the fundamentals of workplace health and safety using media, case studies, group activities and other interactive methods. Plus, find out how to recognize, assess and recommend controls for hazards specific to offices.

Modules include:

• health, safety and the law
• workplace health and safety
• joint health and safety committees
• workplace inspections
• accident investigations

Designed for those who have little knowledge of health and safety or the OH&S Act.  Participants should have a solid understanding of English.  Participants are required to complete an in-class, written WSIB certification evaluation and build a hazard-specific action plan.  This course is recommended for joint health and safety committee members, managers and supervisors.
